16th National Day of Italian Historic Houses at Castello di Thiene
- 13:00
- 14:00
- 15:00
The Castello di Thiene (VI) will take part in the initiative and, once again this year, will open its doors free of charge to take you on a journey of discovery through this pre-Palladian villa: the halls of the east wing with frescoes, paintings and period furnishings; the gallery on the piano nobile with unusual equestrian paintings; and the extraordinary stables.
Free guided tours will be available only by reservation and subject to availability, and will be led as part of a PCTO project by students from the “A. Ceccato” Technical Institute in Thiene, tourism track.
From 3:30 p.m., the castle will be open to visitors with an entrance fee, according to the usual official rates.
On the National Day of the Italian Historic Houses Association (A.D.S.I. ETS), more than 450 exclusive sites such as castles, fortresses, villas, parks and gardens will be open free of charge, offering an immersion in history that still today makes our country recognisable worldwide and which could become a cornerstone for Italy’s long-term sustainable development.
