The Castle is still a private property, passionately cared for by the Thiene family.

The apartment is on the piano nobile of the Castle and can be accessed via the atrium.

The Rooms

Magnolia Suite

A 60m2 suite with a queen-size bed and three large windows overlooking the Castle courtyard. On the walls are period engravings and two large painted family coats of arms.

Citrus Arbour Room

Bright and spacious, this room is richly decorated with XIX century furniture. The two single beds can easily be turned into a double. The two large windows overlook the Castle park.

Secret Garden Room

Intimate and filled with natural light coming in through the two windows overlooking the castle’s secret garden. With two single beds decorated with the family coat of arms. The walls are decorated in Neo-Classic frescoes.

Fireplace Room

Very welcoming and refined, it faces west and has a view of the park and the city cathedral. With two single beds and Imperial style furniture.

    Marvelous castle in the center of small town. We planned our stay to be somewhere quiet - and still to be able to see Venice that is 1h drive away. We enjoyed our stay a lot - and Francesca was very helpful. The castle itself is a historic place, where every detail is fascinating. The rooms are spacious and clean. The garden is absolutely stunning with many flowers blossoming.

    Staying in a castle was a dream come true! We really enjoyed our time here. There was also a lovely village market throughout the town on Monday morning that was a wonderful surprise. Francesca was a very helpful host with restaurant recommendations and points of interest in the area.

    What can I say about Francesca’s beautiful castle home? It was such a magical experience to stay in such a special place with our whole family. The kids (6 and 3) especially loved it, and said it was the best day of their lives when we arrived. Everything is so beautiful and historical, but also comfortable and homey — we had no trouble feeling immediately comfortable and settled in. There’s tonnes of space to roam about, both within the huge apartment and outside in the grounds, and everything in Thiene is just steps away. We were also fortunate to be staying over the weekend, so the rest of the castle was open for public visitors all day and we were able to explore the rest of this truly unique property. It was lovely to meet Francesca on arrival, and to see her family’s history throughout the castle. This was an unforgettable experience for the whole family, and I’m so glad we chanced upon it!

    We had a very nice time! Check in/ out very straightforward, the communication with Francesca as well. The castle is authentic and fascinating, including the living spaces. It's just fun to spend time in this extraordinary setting. We were first worried about whether the rooms at the ceiling height would be very cold. But the heating worked wonderfully. The bedding were freshly washed, you could smell. Parking protected directly at the lock. The tour of the rest of the castle is in the weekends, also absolutely uncomplicated. Thank you, we were allowed to collect great memories:)

    Francesca was incredible! We were in Italy with several friends trying to explore more than just the common tourist spots. This was an amazing base camp. We prepared our own charcuterie boards in the evenings and sat outside enjoying wine. It was next level, and we usually ended up at the pub just outside the Castle gate before the end of the evening. We all also really enjoyed the private tour. I strongly recommend the CASTLE!

The Castle

The complex includes a historical 15,000m2 park with centuries-old trees and plants; the rooms, located on the piano nobile of the Castle, overlook the park. There are four double rooms and they all have period decor, paintings, lights and furniture, as well as tall, beamed ceilings, keeping the original characteristics of the castle unaltered.

Access is through the large atrium on the ground floor. The rooms are double rooms and can accommodate a maximum of eight people.

The Castle, located in the historical centre of Thiene is in close proximity to shops, cafés and restaurants.

Gala dinners can be organised in the Castle halls upon request.

Where to find us

The Castle is located in the heart of Thiene’s historical centre, in front of the Municipal Hall. The entrance is located at the beginning of the main traffic-controlled road through the city.

Directions

You can reach Thiene in the following manner:

  • Autostrada Valdastico A31 (Vicenza-Piovene Rocchette segment), the exit is Thiene-Schio;
  • SS Pedemontana Veneta: the exit is Breganze/Malo;
  • Vicenza-Schio railway;
  • Bus service from Vicenza and other main cities in the province: Schio, Bassano, Asiago.

We suggest the following car parks:

  • Parcheggio Parco del Donatore
  • Parcheggio Villa Fabris
  • Parcheggio Bosco dei Preti sud
  • Parcheggio Nova Thiene
  • On Sundays and bank holidays parking is free in most car parks in the city of Thiene.

For private tour coaches, we advise offloading passengers on the side of the Municipal Hall in Piazza Cesare Battisti and then park, for the duration of the visit, in the Salvo d’Acquisto car park in Via Monte Grappa (1km after the Municipal Hall)
