A new project for the enhancement and disclosure of the castle's historical archives is ready.
On September 12, 2024, an agreement was signed between the Ministry of Culture - Direzione Generale Archivi and the Thiene Castle ETS Association, in collaboration with the Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige Archival and Bibliographic Soprintendenza, to start a project dedicated to sorting, inventorying and valorizing the Colleoni Family Archives (15th-19th centuries) kept at the Castle.
The Association is among the winning entities of a grant for “Scientific Research Projects” for the year 2024.
We will be at work for the next 9 months coordinated by the Bertoliana Civic Library of Vicenza.
We have chosen to devote a first phase to the census and analysis of the materials, which will include the identification of the documentation related to Guardino Colleoni (1843-1918), a senator of the Regno and a prominent figure in the Italian political, cultural and social environment.
At the end of the work, the digitalised summary inventory will be published in the Archive Portal of the Bertoliana Civic Library of Vicenza to complement the other projects already completed on the Porto Section and the Drawings Section.
